Anthropic reshapes its governance on the way to an IPO

Anthropic filed an S-1 to list on Nasdaq as ANT, a week after committing 5% of its shares to a Public Benefit Fund that, with staff pledges, puts about 20% of its equity toward public benefit. It also handed its Agent Skills standard to the Linux Foundation's Agentic AI Foundation, as it did with MCP. A frontier lab going public puts its finances and governance in the open and sets a template for how safety-focused labs raise capital.
